I'm the author of six novels, a novella, a kerfuffle of short stories, and some other stuff, including ghostwriting some well-known books. I also dabble on the Hollywood side and with stage productions.

I like fried chicken, fly shoes, and I'm a hardcore foodie. HARD. CORE. I love cooking. That's the southern girl in me. I'm not a big phone person, but I do enjoy social networking, Skype, and Ustream. I'm very accessible on Facebook and Twitter.

I love words. It's as simple as that. Words are keys to the portals of countless universes of the mind; keys that, when turned correctly, can set the human spirit free.

And for the last time, Lolita Files is my real name. There are plenty of Files family members and folks who can corroborate this. As for the "Lolita" part, my mom named me after the Kubrick movie based on Nabokov's book, although she saw or read neither. Her entire life, she had no idea "Lolita" had sexual overtones. Don't believe me? She once asked me what "the C-word" was after she heard the phrase on Judge Judy. So yes, my mom totally missed the whole slut thing associated with my name. Still, I rise!!!
