>Friday Flashback

I decided to give you a Lo Zone mix today. Besides, it’s Friday and you are ready to start your weekend, so you might as well do it here.

Since it’s probably still early, I’m going to hit you with some slow grooves. All of these groups were smooth and very popular during the 80’s.

First up , The Sounds of Success, better known as the S.O.S. Band
“Tell Me If You Still Care”

Remember this is a mixtape, so let’s keep it moving. Next up is Con Funk Shun, featuring Michael Cooper
“I’m Leaving Baby”

Finally, we have Cameo!
“Don’t Be Lonely”

I hope you enjoyed the musical selection for today. Have a great weekend!

  1. >The SOS band was a great group, a lot of nice hits. I've seen them in concert in recent years and they still sound great. …listen to my hearbeat…(Boom!)That was the cut!Con Funk Shun was smooth too, and I enjoyed Michael Cooper as a single artist. His song "Dinner For Two" was really nice.We don't even need to talk about Cameo. Way too many hits. I can throw on one of their songs on any given day and it still feels right. Take for instance, Single Life, throw that on and the crowd will rock every time. As far as slow jams go, they have a lot of good one's. "Hangin Downtown" and "Don't Be Lonely" comes to mind. They have another slow jam that I can never find, but it's tight. The lyrics go. "And I'll never, ever look, look for love outside our door. Here's the love I've waited for, what's in the past will be no more, I'm for you. I think it's called "I'm for you" but I can't be certain. That song is smooth. Larry Blackmon sings it with a female artist, which I'm not sure of her name. Anybody know this song or where I can find it?
